I've worked in the arts, human rights and sustainability, focusing on words and their role in creating change.
For ten years, I worked with words as a means of storytelling and self-expression in the creative writing sector. I helped people find their voice at the Arvon Foundation, before building writing communities in refugee centres, prisons and schools as Head of Programmes at free speech charity,
I headed up copy at organic veg box people Abel & Cole and wrote for the award-winning books Herbarium, The Grammar of Spice and An Anarchy of Chillies (Thames & Hudson) at design studio Here, before joining the writing team at sustainability agency, Futerra.
I lead writing workshops based on my books, Keeping a Journal (Sheldon Press) and award-winning This Is Me, Full Stop (Penguin), and facilitate walking-based inspiration and problem-solving workshops with Street Wisdom.
