I've worked in heritage, literature, human rights, and food & drink, and am now a writer at sustainability agency, Futerra.


Previously I headed up words at Here Design and Abel & Cole, programming at English PEN and marketing at Arvon.


I wrote This Is Me, Full Stop, designed by Caz Hildebrand. The US edition is This Is Me, Period.


I also wrote the books Keeping a Journal and Stress (with Lorraine Millard).  


My writing has appeared in POEM, The Grammar of Spice, Herbarium, Gull, Poetry Review, The Guardian, BBC Culture, Ambit, Butcher's Dog, The Philosophy Shop, Illustrated Guide to Life, Birdbook III and Man Made.


I'm an associate of

dementia and literature charity, Living Words.


I Hear What You're Saying is my project recording the poetry - and tragi-comedy - of people's everyday words.


I performed in Matthias Sperling's Walking Piece.


I lead free outdoor walking-based problem solving workshops with Street Wisdom - a practical mix of psychology, cognitive science and mindfulness.


I run Breathing & Writing and Punctuate Your Life! workshops - getting people writing and reading in playful ways.
