I am a writer focusing on arts, artisan and activist brands.

For ten years, I worked with words as a means of storytelling and self-expression in the creative writing sector. I helped people find their voice at the Arvon Foundation, before building writing communities in refugee centres, prisons and schools as Head of Programmes at free speech charity,

English PEN.

I now use words to help create positive change. I headed up copy at organic veg box company Abel & Cole and wrote for craft brands like Balvenie, Redemption Roasters and Hendrick's at design studio Here, before joining the writing team at sustainability agency, Futerra, where I focus on naming, tone of voice and storytelling.

My writing has appeared in Poetry Review, Ambit, POEM, The Guardian, BBC Culture, Herbarium, The Grammar of Spice and An Anarchy of Chillies (Thames & Hudson). My books include Keeping a Journal (Sheldon Press) and award-winning This Is Me, Full Stop (Penguin).

I facilitate walking-based inspiration and problem-solving workshops with Street Wisdom and am an associate of the literature and dementia charity, Living Words.
